NJ TRANSIT has announced an exciting partnership with New Jersey’s own rock band, Bleachers, temporarily rebranding its North Jersey Coast Line rail service as the “Bleachers Coast Line.” The special collaboration celebrates the band’s annual Shadow of the City music festival, taking place at the iconic Stone Pony in Asbury Park on August 28.
A Jersey-Forward Music and Transit Collaboration
To mark the occasion, the temporary renaming will feature across select station signage, digital assets, and social media channels, giving fans an immersive Jersey Shore concert experience right from their daily commute.
“The renaming of the North Jersey Coast Line to ‘Bleachers Coast Line’ brings instant recognition of summer at the Jersey Shore,” said NJ TRANSIT President and CEO Kris Kolluri. “We are grateful to the band and to Asbury Park for their partnership.”
Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff, a proud New Jersey native, remains central to the initiative, continuing to highlight his deep roots in the state’s vibrant music culture.
“Bleachers and NJ TRANSIT come together—thrilled to share the ‘Bleachers Coast Line’ with you all. See you at Shadow of the City on Friday!” shared Jack Antonoff.
Promoting Sustainable Travel to the Jersey Shore
In addition to celebrating Asbury Park’s rich musical legacy, the partnership encourages festival-goers to take public transit to the Stone Pony. Utilizing NJ TRANSIT helps lower traffic congestion, reduces emissions, and offers fans a reliable, stress-free route to the Shore.
NJ TRANSIT and Bleachers will also collaborate on co-branded social storytelling and real-time fan engagement throughout the event.
