Honda SUV crashes through schoolyard fence in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, A Honda CR-V crashed through a 6-foot high chain link fence at the Somerville Elementary School’s athletic field on South Pleasant Avenue in Ridgewood late Tuesday afternoon. It is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle after she drove over a speed hump, hit a patch of ice, then bounced off of a curb. At least one air bag in the vehicle deployed; the driver was quite shaken up, but otherwise uninjured. There were no pedestrians present in the area at the time of the accident. The vehicle was removed by a flatbed tow truck. The incident remains under investigation by Ridgewood PD.

Somerville’s athletic field???? Pretty sure that’s called Kenilworth field or something similar. But glad no one hurt.
Totally in agreement with #1 SLOW DOWN. Keep the speed bump.
