>How To Properly Observe 9/11
People all around the world think us Americans are complete jerks and do not care about anything but ourselves, and after what I saw today I want to agree. People have no idea how to remember the day when over 3,000 people died, many of whom who saved countless others.
At church this morning at OLMC there was little talk of the 9/11 attacks and when they played the national anthem at the end of church 75% of people left before it ended. I stood there listen to every note remembering that frightful day from what I have read and from what I can recall from my own personal memory.
If I had some sort of qualification and I had been older at the time I would have driven to the World Trade Center to help out the best I could, even knowing that I would die, but it would be worth it if I could save another.
While I do understand many people would not do that, they should at least honor the 441 people that did do that very thing. In addition we should remember the 2,573 other people who were taken away from us too soon and the countless others who have some sort of medical condition because of the 9/11 attacks.
I urge ALL of you to at least pay some sort of respect to those who lost their lives, whether it be silent prayer, thinking about the day, or going to the 9/11 memorial at Memorial Park at 7PM tonight. Lastly, I hope you go do some research on 9/11 so you can learn more about what happened on the day when we all came together as a community and a country.
