Hi James,
As expected, the council voted 3-2 on ordinance 3519, which allows them to enter into a lease purchase agreement with the BCIA for the Hudson Street parking garage.
There are a group of residents that started a referendum petition to repeal the ordinance. We need to get about 1000 signatures in 20 days. Then a binding referendum question would go on the May ballot asking if the ordinance should be adopted?
People can go to no2bcia@gmail.com to find out where they can go to sign the petition.
Thanks
Mount St. Carmel could land hundreds of signatures in one SUNDAY
Other impacted churches residents as well,
re: “People can go to no2bcia@gmail.com to find out where they can go to sign the petition.”
no2bcia@gmail.com is an email address.
Is there a website or someplace to get a list of locations where to go to sign the petition?
I like it…take the town back…
If you want to sign, send an email to no2bcia@gmail.com. You will get a response telling you locations around town where you can go to sign, mostly at people’s houses but also at some public locations. We want to make this easy for you, some of us will even go to your home if you cannot get out. Many thanks.
Wife and I just sign. Come on folks let do it.
Then get out the vote in May or it will happen anyway.
Just stand outside Sook with a clipboard.
Please note that signatures must be exactly as they appear on ones voter registration and all signers need to be registered to vote in Ridgewood.
Website created will be updated with locations and times…please check back.

or email no2bcia@gmail.com and someone will get back to you!
Thank you very much.
The back of starbucks with the both doors in and out might be more private for a Saturday signature drive

Website is up and running: no2bcia.com
Additional places to sign the petition are listed besides the ones shown on this blog earlier.
How’s the signing going? Can anyone report numbers so far???
Echoing what someone said – – you need to make sure you put your name on the page as it is recorded in the Village voters list and you must sign as you do when you vote. Presumably the group will have a list of voters handy from which they can check how you originally recorded your name. But you just need to make sure that if your name is “william” you don’t call yourself “Billy.”
Get out and sign everyone. Time to send a message to the Council majority.
