THE RIDGEWOOD NEWS
RIDGEWOOD – Ridgewood’s new governing body laid the groundwork for pressing issues in their first meeting on Wednesday. Parking, budget approvals and Ridgewood Water were top items.
Parking
The council openly brainstormed different ideas to fix parking in the central business district. Deputy Mayor Michael Sedon, who kicked off the conversation, said the village should explore creating more one-way streets, which will increase on-street parking spots.

CBD looks like crap. Hope the Council does something…
it will take a while to clean the mess from the 3 “dirtbags”
Eyes look also to Steets litter and street markings and pavement looks bad steamguns needed
PLEASE… NO Single Site Large Parking facility.
.
Modify where you can, and if you must build make sure it is no more than 1 additional story and in multiple locations, SPREAD OUT among the ENTIRE CBD.
FISH has no parking of it’s own. zero. it’s a large building and needs a lot of nearby parking. Any garage at Hudson st will be for the benefit of Fish and It’s greek to me.
we need to repave broad,st,,,,,cottage ,st , waulnut st lots . on huddson lot we need to come up with a great idea,
You people. “Fish has no parking…” Which restaurant, which BUSINESS, in the CBD downtown has parking? Raymonds? Sook? The Office? None of the businesses in the CBD have parking except the bike shop.
And the least covered story on this blog? The chain link fence that now keeps Mt. Carmel parishioners from parking at Brogan. How’s THAT for your parking vote.
I’m taking my capital gain to Pennsylvania a state that values seniors. So long suckers. Have fun driving in circles and complaining about valet parking.
