Ridgewood NJ,Patrolman Patrick Elwood assists with traffic as a new flag pole is installed at the Ridgewood Post Office this morning. The new flag pole replaces the original flag pole installed in 1937.
I’m glad there wasn’t a flagpole preservation committee formed to save the rotting old one.
Wow, it lasted 79 years? It must have been a FedGov-owned flagpole. Because if it was a VoR-owned flagpole, the VM would have replaced it as her very first VM project, claiming an urgent need to cash in on a federal grant. She doesn’t like to let old things hang around for very long.
I hope they take the old one and thrust it through the heart of the Vampire letter carrier outside the building.
Wow, how did they slip this past the anti-change majority and historical preservation society? Did the Council know about it?
4:00pm and 6:03pm.
You are not helping your argument… you just look petty and ridiculous.
4:00 & 6:03 – it might have something to do with the fact that the new flag pole isn’t twice as big, cost $11 million or line the pockets of a couple of developers. Sour grapes much?
How do we know it didn’t cost $11.5 million? Remember the zillion-dollar toilets in the bathrooms behind the band shell?
