Parking spot No. 24 in Ridgewood is an excellent spot for parking. It sits across Walnut Street from Memorial Park, smack in the middle of the downtown shopping district, next to the Alex & Ani jewelry shop and close to popular places like Starbucks, the Warner movie theater and the Country Pancake House.
Spot No. 24 is so good, in fact, that it’s nearly impossible to park there.

I have been a resident for over 13 years
My wife an I took a ride down to Westfield Saturday for their small business Saturday.
All meters were adorned with a welcome placard advising 2 hours small business Saturday free parking based on honors system..stores were packed..Williams Sonoma ,bookstores ,restaurants.gift shop home stores ,coffee houses.
You fail again Ridgewood,,imagine welcoming visitors and their kids and grandparents into town for some free Saturday
Parking and Christmas shopping …we are not that special …I am sure the ticket agents had a lot of fun ticketing those new customers who did not know any better than to dare stop at one extra store rather than to feed a meter, I give up.
We only need meters to regulate M-F commuter parking. They have no purpose at other times and definitely not at the weekend.
Your right 12:19….and that’s why I have not set foot in the CBD in years. The scam that is the parking utility in Ridgewood is nothing more than a slush fund for village employees and their ilk as so woefully shown over the years and years of theft that not one person has been held accountable for. Absolute disgrace the town is.
This has to be the most poorly written newspaper article I’ve read in decades. What was the purpose of it? The Record has been in the shithole ever since Gannett changed the format.
This was the stupidest article ever.
12:19 You’re right. This town just doesn’t get it !
