Ridgewood NJ, a few take-aways from the Wednesday’s Village Council meeting via TV-land and a concerned citizen:
1. Bob Rooney said that money allocated for Schedler ABSOLUTELY CAN be used for testing and dealing with the contaminated soil. Said it would take a couple of months to shift funds. This would avoid having to put the taxpayers on the hook for a $350K bond. Councilwoman Reynolds had asked about this. In response Weitz all but bit Lorraine’s head off, and Winograd accused her of not caring about safety. No matter how much Lorraine Reynolds reiterated that she wants the soil tested and remediated, but just wants to use existing funds, the others stated that she was irresponsible in terms of safety for the citizens.
2. The experts said that “capping” the soil might be one way to address the contamination – and this would involve a 12 – 24 inch cover of soil on top of the berm. This would make the berm much bigger. It would make the space for a ball field smaller. But what about the contaminated soil on the grid?
3. The mayor decided to grandstand and say he wants the whole project put on hold until the testing is done. This is all an act, people – it is an election year and he wants to look like he actually cares.
4. Vagianos treated the whole thing like it was a trial, questioning witnesses and asking their qualifications. It was hilarious. We could sell the tape to reality TV. But who would watch?
5. Winograd was heard to say FUN FACT twice, good God can she just STOP?!?
6. Kazmarck was absent, which meant the meeting rolled along smoothly under the management of Heather Mailander. He did show up at the bitter end. Rumor has it that he did not agree with Vagianos’ plan to manage the damage control, and was told by the V-man to stay away.

Oh the shit show it’s just starting. The village is going to be bankrupt after pay to clean this mess up. There are so many locations throughout the village with contamination. Oh well this is what happens when you squirrel the wrong people we told you. Wait till the man starts talking. He knows where all the Skeletons are and put in there.
Reading this is making my head spin like a top. It is a classic example of gaslighting. Is Winograd out of her mind actually accusing Ms. Reynolds of not caring when she herself is leading the charge to get a plastic grass field over on the Schedler property knowing full well there are residentials wells and the fact that there is no such thing as non toxic PFAS free artificial plastic grass. She will be setting up the village for more financial troubles than she realizes and should be categorically dismissed from the council for the blatant disregard for the human health of Ridgewood residents.
What Ridgewood really needs is a strong mayor and a council that isn’t made up of individuals who are short sighted and can’t see past the noses on their face. Since Vagianos became mayor, it has been a culmination of lies, deceit, bad decisions, drama, division of a community, encouraging bad behavior, and an in your face display of how the wrong people get elected, go rogue and may actually bankrupt a town because of their selfish agendas. No one buys their altruistic BS anymore about how they are working for their community. I don’t know how Weitz, Winograd, Perron or Vagianos are going to be able to walk around our village with their heads held high. Maybe they will move and I know a few people who would volunteer to help them pack.
Pam can still walk around town. Her hats are massive. Incognito.
So essentially no one else but Mrs. Reynolds thought to be employ some innovative thinking and simply inquire whether it was even a remote possibility to money Ridgewood already has? I would assume this is a quick conversation where the person who knows the finances the best and can provide clarity and information, but no one else thought to do this. This way they could make an informed decision and lay out all of the options. The mayor and 3 boobs are proving to be such a bunch of complete morons who obviously don’t have their eye on the fiscal responsibility and financial health of Ridgewood’s bottom line. Ms. “Welcome to Expensive” Winograd obviously thinks money grows on trees. Hopefully not evasive ones.
I do not believe that anyone that is sitting up on the dais, except for councilwoman Reynolds, is dealing with a full deck of cards. I missed the meeting online but caught it today and my observation is that no one wil be winning an academy award for their performance. Evan Weitz saying residents are negative because they object (no sh*t) and Winograd being outwardly rude to another council person who favors a different approach, when she herself, did not take the mental leap to ask any budget questions and goes along like a sheep to passing an ordinance cause that is what the other cool kids in her posse are doing, is just nuts. Blurting out “welcome to expensive” is just another new low moment in Ridgewood’s steady flow.
This council except for Lorraine is rotten, mean, and entitled. Vote Vaganious and Perron out, enough is enough
I feel like there is a little bit of a non inclusive bully vibe going on at various points throughout the year with either Evan or Siobahn beating up Ms. Lorraine Reynolds for being an independent thinker . it is just awful and unprofessional.

Winograd referenced a rally cry against the berm when it was initially being built and then a second later said it was only her and Rurak Halaby who spoke against it. That doesn’t sound like a rally cry. Plus didn’t her husband work on the plan for that property, so where was she during that process, seeing that she literally never stops talking I cannot imagine she didn’t have a lot to say, but made it her platform to run for council and then did a bait and switccheroo scheme along with Evan, Paul and Pam. Now she is trying to gaslight people into believing that berm encroaches on the house and will lobby to remove the berm and have tax payers pony up to provide the money, all because her sports pals who are each running money making operations, want an even larger field. It is shock & awe everytime she opens her mouth and it seems like the wild west of rogue spending, so whatever way the wind is blowing on any given day, is how they’ll decide how the money is allocated.
I wonder what Pee Wee has on Rurak Halaby, he’s the only one who blows smoke up his A$$
