Paramus NJ, an early Friday afternoon collision on the southbound Garden State Parkway near Exit 165 in Paramus, New Jersey, involved a full-sized school bus carrying children and adult chaperones. While the incident required a significant emergency response, authorities reported that all individuals on board the bus were safe.
Paramus EMS, a key responder to the scene, quickly dispatched two fully staffed ambulances along with two EMT-trained managers. Their rapid deployment and thorough on-scene evaluation were crucial in ensuring the well-being of everyone involved.
A Fortunate Outcome
Despite the dramatic nature of the accident, the outcome was fortunate. The bus driver was the only individual who reported an injury. The driver was evaluated and treated on-site by Paramus EMS personnel and ultimately refused any further medical attention, confirming that no one else was hurt.
Three New Jersey State Police troopers also responded to the incident to manage the scene and investigate the cause of the collision. A white Mazda SUV was observed being towed from the scene, indicating it was the other vehicle involved in the crash.
The quick and coordinated response from law enforcement and emergency medical services ensured that a potentially serious situation was resolved with the best possible outcome.
