Ridgewood, NJ · according to Ridgewood Village Manager Keith Kazmark , Bergen County has started ADA handicap ramp replacement on Ackerman Avenue in preparation for re-surfacing. There have been many resident requests to pave Ackerman and the Village is thankful to the county for addressing this busy roadway in town. Stay tuned for the milling and paving schedule!

It’s about time that streets been a mess so many years, can’t understand why it took so long.
Anybody remember the little sewing machine that used to be on a post in the yard of that house on the corner back in the 50’s and 60’s?
Can they add a speed bump or two on Ackerman? Some drive way too fast on a narrow road with many pedestrians, pets and wildlife. There are many children who walk to George Washington and Orchards schools, many people who visit Van Dykes, and my neighbors yard is a popular path for deer and foxes that often dart out into the road.
