Alert Resident Tip leads to Arrest 5 Newark Men by Glen Rock Police

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police report that “An alert resident” noticed a group attempting to enter vehicles in residents’ driveways in the area of Woodvale Road on Friday morning at 4:48 a.m.

Glen Rock Police arrested five Newark men and charged them with burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools and possession of a high-capacity handgun magazine . Police found items stolen from other unlocked vehicles on Woodvale Road and Fieldmere Road in the car.

The five men were identified by Police as Ahmad N. Richardson, Akil A. Domino and Malik K. Reed, all 18, Hanif J. Reed, 19 and Chowmain M. Jones, 20.

Jones was also charged with hindering apprehension by providing false information to law enforcement.

A Police investigation determined that every vehicle the group was able to enter had been left unlocked.

The five men are scheduled to appear in court on May 21.
