Paramus NJ, on Sunday afternoon, July 28, the driver and helper of an Amazon box truck were injured when their vehicle flipped into a large drainage ditch on the off-ramp of Route 17 southbound to Route 4 eastbound/westbound.
Incident Details
Both individuals were promptly transported by a Paramus EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for treatment. According to an Amazon delivery service manager present at the scene, the truck had completed all deliveries for the day. The only item left in the vehicle at the time of the accident was an empty box from a flat-screen television.
Response and Recovery
A heavy-duty tow truck was called in to right the heavily damaged vehicle and remove it from the scene. The Paramus Police Department conducted an investigation into the crash, while firefighters from the Paramus Fire Department responded as a precautionary measure.
