Roswell NM, the FBI is not responding to a UFO sighting in New Mexico on Sunday. An American Airlines passenger jet traveling from Cincinnati to Phoenix encountered an apparent UFO over northeastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon.

The pilot on flight 2292 radioed around 1:00 p.m. CST and said that the unidentified object was flying right on top of them, according to a transmission recorded by Steve Douglass on his blog, Deep Black Horizon. American Airlines verified to Fox News that the transmission is from flight 2292.

Flight 2292 was around 37,000 feet at the time of the sighting, and Albuquerque Center did not respond because local air traffic interfered, according to Douglass. The flight went on to land in Phoenix, Arizona.

In the recording you hear the pilot , “Do you have any targets up here? We just had something go right over the top of us,” the pilot said in the radio transmission.

“I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast. It went right over the top of us.”

American Airlines confirmed that the radio transmission was authentic, but did not give any further comment on the possible alien encounter.

“Following a debrief with our Flight Crew and additional information received, we can confirm this radio transmission was from American Airlines Flight 2292 on Feb. 21,” an American Airlines spokesperson told Fox News in a statement. “For any additional questions on this, we encourage you to reach out to the FBI.”

New Mexico is home to White Sands Missile Range, which is located in the southern part of the state and is described as the Department of Defense’s “largest, fully-instrumented, open air range.”

Roswell New Mexico  is famous for a UFO incident in  July 1947 . A “United States Army Air Forces weather balloon crash” at a ranch near Roswell caused a firestorm  following local press interest in debris gathered from the crash site, and rumors that the debris came from a “flying disc”.  The US military denied a UFO and stated that the crashed object was merely a conventional weather balloon

  1. Even if it were true no one from the government would ever confirm it. That’s all we need during a Pandemic and Pickleball-palooza….a confirmed UFO sighting !

I skied Taos many years ago. Worth the trip !

  2. United States government agencies will never ever admit to UFOs. They will come up with some hogwash story, that it was a weather balloon shooting star, some kind of solar storm some bullshit. The bottom line is this is not the 50s anymore there’s surveillance everywhere and Way too many people are seeing something out there. So someone needs to come out and say you know what yes there’s definitely other spacecraft flying in our solar system we just don’t know what planet they’re from end of the story. What we think is our government he’s probably embarrassed that someone can enter our air space but we cannot go to their air space. Sounds like there’s a planet out there just a little bit more advanced than us.

  4. The ones that are putting their thumbs down must be in management. Because that’s their thinking. Sweep it under the carpet right. Real typical.

  5. Maybe it was an oxygen deprived delusion due to wearing a mask, not a UFO…
