A new Bergen County test site has been under construction at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. A Bergen company Bio-Reference is providing swab kits for this site which expects to be operational by Sunday. Hoping to conduct an additional 200 tests per day. First responders who live and work in Bergen as well as health care workers will receive priority for testing. All others must be Bergen residents with a doctor’s prescription who must go through a telemedicine screening and once approved will be given an appointment with a time and registration number.
Additional info
1. Take your keys out of your cars and lock them. We are seeing an uptick in car thefts.
2. As of 8 am tomorrow morning there will be no further car access into Bergen county parks. All Bergen county parks will be accessible solely by walking or biking in.
3. On Saturday March 28th, both Bergen Community College’s and PNC’s testing sites will solely be available to First Responders and Health Care Workers with symptoms and ID. Please do not go for testing this Saturday unless you fit into these categories.
