Hackenbsack NJ, State Senator Joe Cryan, a Democrat from Union County, has introduced legislation calling for an independent review and investigation of the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability for possible misconduct. Cryan stated “The office has acted unethically on a consistent basis and needs to be reviewed,” said Cryan. The law would also include possible disciplinary actions.

Todd Caliguire, Republican Candidate for Bergen County Executive, expressed his concern over the weaponization of the justice system to disqualify candidates in an election year only for them to be later proven innocent of the charges.

“Recent efforts to manipulate the criminal justice system as a political weapon to tip the
scales to help a political party are completely un-American and constitute election
interference,” said Caliguire.
On November 2, 2022, Passaic County Superior Court Judge Marilyn Clark dismissed the indictment against Saddle Brook Police Chief Robert Kugler who was indicted under false pretenses just as he launched his candidacy for Bergen County Sheriff in 2021.
Recently, Palisades Park Councilwoman Stephanie Jang, the Republican candidate for
mayor, was accused of a voting violation stemming from her June 2022 primary election for council. The accusation was filed by the chairman of the local Democrat Organization after it became clear that Jang would be a formidable candidate against the Democrat incumbent mayor.
“These politically motivated accusations and responses by the criminal justice system,
controlled by Democrats, are part of a very dangerous pattern. The criminal justice system must never be used to further the political interest of a political party,” said Caliguire. “We are at a crossroads in this country and our state. Restoring faith in public officials and institutions is paramount.
That is why I chose to run for County Executive in Bergen County. One party rule, like we have in Bergen, creates these abuses all too often”, Caliguire said.

  1. Think of what they did to Tom Delay in TX back in the early oughts.

    Same thing.

  2. Sure it’s all above board. Absolutely…..

The iPads they use for signatures in Glen Rock are set up so there is no way you can do a reasonable signature.

I just used my usual rubric which has no similarity to how my signature is on the official records.

Did they ask for ID? What do you think?
