Back to School, Back on Duty: Ridgewood Welcomes Familiar Faces to Local Campuses

Ridgewood NJ, As students head back to the classroom across the Village of Ridgewood, local safety remains a top priority. Returning to their vital roles in the community, three dedicated Special Law Enforcement Officers (SLEOs) are officially back on duty, providing protection, guidance, and a reassuring presence for students and staff.

Meet Your 2026 Ridgewood School Officers

  • Christen Hughes – Serving at George Washington Middle School

  • Anthony Losito – Serving at Benjamin Franklin Middle School

  • Paul Levajac – Serving at Ridgewood High School

Whether directing morning drop-off, securing campus grounds, or building positive relationships with youth, these officers bring years of experience and a familiar sense of security to our schools each day.

  1. So their retired and collecting a pension and now double dipping
    as so called SLEO’s. How convenient. Who set this up? The Union??
    of course they did. they exploited the fear to push retired members into cake jobs while still on the dime.
