Paramus NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco offered a BIG congratulations to recent Bergen Community College graduate Rene Bulnes for earning the $55,000 per year Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship- the most prestigious award for community college students! Rene was one of only 60 students to receive this year’s award.
Rene graduated from Bergen Community College this May with an associate of applied science in computer science. During his time at BCC, Rene participated in a research internship, served as vice president of the STEM Student Union, and remained an active part of Phi Theta Kappa- the honor society of junior colleges. Rene plans to transfer to Stevens Institute of Technology to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
