Hackensack NJ, for the last eight and a half years, Ridgewood’s Frank Delvecchio has served an important role in my administration as Director of Public Safety Communications at the County’s 9-1-1 communications center in Mahwah. In his tenure, Frank spearheaded a number of significant projects critical to law enforcement, our first responders, and Bergen County’s public safety apparatus at large varying from the implementation of technology upgrade to facilitating the growth of municipal shared service contracts for dispatch and 9-1-1 service for the County.

Wednesday was Frank’s last day with the County, we tested the new BC-ALERT communications channel that his office has been diligently installing in all seventy municipalities over the last twelve months and allows first responders to communication together on an encrypted channel when responding to a crisis. Measures like these often go unnoticed to the general public, but truly go a long way in making Bergen County an even safer place to live, work, and raise a family.
Assemblyman Robert Auth said , “Thank you for your service, Frank. Your dedication to the residents of Bergen County and their safety is to be commended.”

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco , “I want to thank Director Devecchio for his service to the County of Bergen and wish him the best of luck in his new role serving on the New Jersey State Parole Board!”
