Hackensack NJ, on January 13th Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco joined the Korean American Association of New Jersey in celebration of Korean American Day!
Korean American Day celebrates the anniversary of the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the United States. Korean American Day honors and highlights our friends of Korean descent who have made immeasurable contributions as small business owners, military service members, faith leaders, doctors, artists, and elected officials for over a century. Ever since the first immigration wave happened way back in 1903.
Tedesco declared in a Facebook post, “Bergen County is a proud home to more than 60,000 Korean Americans who have played a crucial role in shaping our County, and we are grateful for their influence. Today, we celebrate your history, heritage, and future. Happy Korean American Day!”
