Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco has issued an updated executive order extending the declared county state of emergency with modifications in accordance with Governor Phil Murphy’s ongoing plan to relax restrictions on low-risk activities. Executive Order No. 2020-01G specifically addresses the reopening of additional amenities in county parks, outdoor dining, and non-essential retail.

“This executive order moves the County of Bergen one step closer to a new normal by offering residents more ways to enjoy our county park system while also laying the groundwork for small business to reopen their doors. This global health crisis has been tough on everyone whether it be physically, financially, or mentally. I am encouraged that these next steps may help alleviate some of those strains. However, I ask all residents to please still exercise caution as we are not yet out of this crisis. We must remain steadfast in our efforts to continue reducing the spread of COVID-19 by following CDC guidelines, practicing social distancing practices, and obeying local, county, and state emergency orders” said Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco.

  1. What a tool…who needs the cat anyway.
Along with defunding the police state let’s ax this dude.

  2. Too little too late. He should have never closed the parks to begin with. I hope people think for themselves, stop being sheep, and do not re-elect this old dictator
