The Village of Ridgewood is hoping to partner with Bergen County in solving some of the municipality’s parking woes, according to Mayor Paul Aronsohn.
The mayor revealed at Wednesday’s council meeting that he and other village officials have had preliminary discussions with members of the Bergen County Improvement Authority (BCIA) specifically to discuss parking and ways to remedy some of Ridgewood’s problems, namely the lack of adequate parking spaces.
“They are very interested in partnering with us. The bulk of our discussions have been [regarding] the Hudson Street lot,” Aronsohn said.
The Bergen County Economic Development Office, Ridgewood municipal attorney Matt Rogers added, also expressed interest in assisting the village.
