Bergen County Prosecutor Confirms ID of human remains that were found in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road, Ridgefield Park

Ridgefield Park NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella confirms the following information:

As previously reported, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the discovery of human remains that were found in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ on August 13, 2021. The victim has now been identified as 42-year-old Nicole Flanagan. The medical examiner’s office has not yet determined a cause of death, and this remains an active investigation.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Ridgefield Park Police Department are investigating the discovery of human remains that were found in the area of Hobart Street and Teaneck Road, Ridgefield Park. At 10:38 a.m. on August 13, 2021, the Ridgefield Park Police Department responded to the area on a report of a suspicious large plastic container having been left in the street. Human remains were located in the container, and the circumstances of the death and the origin of the container are being investigated.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Ridgefield Park Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Rella. No other information is available at this time.
