Wyckoff NJ, a tragic incident occurred in which a 79-year-old woman lost her life in a fire that consumed a home on Meer Avenue.
Bergen Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:
Wyckoff NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Wyckoff Police Department are investigating a fatal fire that occurred at 481 Meer Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ on Sunday, November 5, 2023. At approximately 12:05 p.m., the Wyckoff Police Department received a 911 call reporting a house fire at 481 Meer Avenue. Responding officers found 79-year-old Virginia Ingenito unresponsive, and she was later pronounced deceased. The fire was suppressed by the Wyckoff Fire Department.
An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Wyckoff Police Department under the direction of Chief David Murphy. No additional information is available at this time.
