Bergen County Unite for Israel Parade in Teaneck Draws Massive Crowd

Teaneck NJ, thousand of supporters marched in support of the state of Israel for several hours on Sunday, transforming Teaneck’s leafy streets into a vast landscape of blue and white, the colors of the Israeli flag.

The Bergen County Unite for Israel Parade event drew a broad swath of participants from around the tri-state area who gathered in a show of support for the 73-year-old state of Israel. Marching up Cedar Lane with a heavy police presence the crowd was greeted by a group of Palestinian protesters . The crowd then gathered at Sagamore Park afterwards the demonstration of unity amid a recent rise of antisemitism around the world, was estimated to have attracted a crowd of nearly 5,000.

It was refreshing and uplifting to see such a large gathering in support of Israel at a time when anti-Semitic attacks in the U.S. and abroad have become a throwback to a darker era in world history. Let’s pray the positive energy and light generated at the Unite for Israel Parade serve to dispel the darkness and hate that threaten to envelop our world.
