Hackensack NJ,  after a bomb scare at a Fair lawn Synagogue,  Sheriff Anthony Cureton held a security briefing to discuss public safety precautions for the upcoming Jewish High Holy (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) Season. Representatives from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, local police chiefs and members of the Jewish community were present as Rabbi Joel Friedman offered an overview of traditions and expectations for the Jewish High Holy Season. The safety and security of all Bergen County residents was the top priority. It is important for residents to feel safe practicing their respective faiths in our community.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, September 26, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will launch a new nationwide cybersecurity program to educate all Americans on how to stay secure online. The new cybersecurity awareness program will also include the launch of the agency’s first-ever Public Service Announcement (PSA) that will air nationwide. The PSA is focused on encouraging all Americans across the cyber ecosystem, from individuals and families to small and medium size businesses and everyone in between, to roll up their sleeves and be a part of our national cyber defense by adopting essential cybersecurity habits. The PSA will premiere at a launch event in Washington, DC with industry and thought leaders, and include remarks by CISA Director Jen Easterly.
