Hackensack NJ, after a bomb scare at a Fair lawn Synagogue, Sheriff Anthony Cureton held a security briefing to discuss public safety precautions for the upcoming Jewish High Holy (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) Season. Representatives from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, local police chiefs and members of the Jewish community were present as Rabbi Joel Friedman offered an overview of traditions and expectations for the Jewish High Holy Season. The safety and security of all Bergen County residents was the top priority. It is important for residents to feel safe practicing their respective faiths in our community.
