Fair Lawn NJ, NJ Transit Police and Fair Lawn Police responded to an early Monday morning, 04/15, report of a dead body lying on the Suffern/Port Jervis bound train tracks at Radburn Station, 21-01 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn.
A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital pronounced the individual dead at the scene. The deceased is said to have been an adult female. NJ Transit Police detectives are trying to determine if a train was involved in the woman’s death.
Service on both directions of NJ Transit’s Bergen Line was delayed while emergency responders worked at the scene. Fair Lawn Fire Company #4 and the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad assisted police agencies with bio-hazard remediation.
