Bomb Threat at Holy Name Medical Center Deemed Not Credible

Te3aneck NJ, on Saturday afternoon, a bomb threat was reported at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, causing a significant response from local and county law enforcement. The threat, received shortly after 4 p.m., was made by an unknown caller who provided no specific details, according to a statement by Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr.

In response to the threat, a shelter-in-place order was issued, and incoming patients were diverted to other facilities as a precaution. The Teaneck Police Department, along with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the New Jersey State Police, were quickly notified. The Teaneck Fire Department was also on standby at the scene.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad, assisted by explosive-detecting K-9 units, conducted a thorough search of the hospital. After an exhaustive investigation, no explosives were found, and the threat was determined to be not credible.

At this time, there are no ongoing threats to the hospital. The Teaneck Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident to identify the caller and determine their motives.
