According to the NEA’s Rankings and Estimates Report, the average salary for teachers in New Jersey was $82,877, a 2.2% increase from the previous year’s $81,102 and over $10,000 higher than the national average of $72,030.
Trenton NJ, a newly released report from the U.S. Census Bureau ranks New Jersey fourth in the nation for public school per-student spending, with an average of $26,280 per student in fiscal year 2023 — nearly $10,000 above the national average of $16,014.

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Board of Education (BOE) officially adopted its 2025–2026 school budget during a public hearing and vote held at the April 22, 2025 meeting. Richard Matthews, Business Administrator and Board Secretary, led the detailed budget presentation outlining financial highlights and community impact.

Pennsauken NJ, Ridgewood Crew dominated the competition at New Jersey’s top scholastic rowing competition on Saturday, winning the title for best overall sculling team in the state. One day later, it added to its overall medal haul for the weekend while competing at the US Rowing-sanctioned Cooper Cup, and, across the two days, brought home eight golds and 14 medals overall.
