Water Main Break Shuts Down Route 46 in South Hackensack

South Hackensack NJ, commuters faced delays Monday morning as a water main break forced the closure of all lanes on Route 46 in South Hackensack, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

The break occurred in the westbound lanes just east of Central Avenue, with reports first coming in around 5:30 a.m. By 9 a.m., the closure was still in effect, prompting officials to direct drivers to follow posted detours.

Additional Charged Filed Against Bronx Man Who Went on a Armed robbery, Carjacking Rampage in Bergen County

South Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 42-year-old UVALDO GONZALEZ of the Bronx, NY on additional charges of armed robbery, carjacking, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The arrest was the result of a continuing investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, the South Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Chinchar, and the Port Authority Police Department under the direction of Superintendent Edward Cetnar.

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the South Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert Chinchar.
