“Mr. Kim spends a lot of time documenting whatever he presents. Wish the Council, School board, and Library had enough sense to do the same. They seem to just pull abstract ideas out of the air and then stick to them as if they were the Gospel truth–circular stairway? Unneeded garage located in an area where it will be only used by commuters and the owners of the new condos which come with no way nearly adequate parking? The above mentioned groups can’t stand him as he consistently pulls the curtain back to tell us what “the wizards of Oz” are REALLY doing!”

Ridgewood NJ, apparently it’s “No dumping” unless you’re unloading soil for a developer. Soil from downtown multi housing site continues to be disposed of at Schedler.
The soil, which residents were told was for a berm along 17 North, now covers most of the 7 acre property and is piled up to 8ft high. The destruction of American History, vegetation, nature and wildlife by soil suffocation?
Why was $99,000 of taxpayers money spent to clean up this site last year? What happened to the Village tying ribbons around the trees and claims of forest preservation?

Ridgewood NJ, after years of acrimony the controversial wall in front of the “It’s Greek to Me” restaurant at 21 East Ridgewood Avenue was demolished on Friday morning.
While some felt “the wall” created a nice dinning area for the restaurant, critics saw favoritism and a side walk impediment for pedestrians and fire fighters.
Two (2) construction workers used a concrete cutting saw, sledgehammer, and other assorted tools to demolish and remove the barrier .
It is believed the “wall” was removed because it would have been non-compliant with the Village’s new sidewalk cafe/dining ordinance. The restaurant’s owner, Paul Vagianos, was on the scene to witness the process.
” Ridgewood as we know and love it is gone. These developments should have never been approved. Too much density. The developers and their attorneys do not live here. Taxes will only go up due to the extra services needed and I do not believe that these apartments are geared to young professionals without children or retired people as they were pitched. Very short sighted decisions … “
