Hackensack NJ,  A Chick-fil-A restaurant with a drive-thru will replace a shuttered Hooters on Route 4, across the highway from Riverside Square Mall. This will be the Atlanta-based fast-food chain’s sixth location in Bergen County and its 55th in New Jersey.

Construction is already underway on a 5,014-square-foot building ,adjacent to the Coach House diner. As of Wednesday the “Chick-fil-A” sign had already been added to the exterior, but so far no opening date has been set.

Although the property sits on Route 4 ,it will have an additional entrance on Hackensack Avenue, near the campus of Bergen County Academies.

There will be 57 parking spaces and dual drive-thru lanes around the building, according to site plans approved by Hackensack. The owner of the franchise is Dennis Williams, who also owns the Englewood Chick-fil-A. Williams is a  Bergen County resident with his wife and three children.

This is literally hurtful to the marginalized. You may as well bring back slavery to Bergen County.
