Ridgewood NJ, Day one of the Chief Michael Feeney Jr. Police Academy , after getting their academy uniforms, doing PT, and marching, They were all set! The Cadets learned all about the DEA @drug_enforcement and had an awesome motorcycle demonstration by Ptl. Pyatak of @glen_rock_pba .

Chief Michael Feeney Jr. Police Academy had a huge day at Newark Airport checking out International Departures with the @tsa and their amazing staff including their bomb detection and K-9 units! Then they headed to @mlstadium MetLife Stadium to learn how the @newjerseystatepolice and staff protect us during games and concerts! We loved the @nygiants locker room of course! Go big blue!

The Michael Feeney Junior Police Academy next went down to the Fire house and got to make a Police Car a convertible! We even got to see the fire pole in action! We had an awesome taser and defensive tactics demonstration from Sgt. Bolten and had the Nj State Police stop by in their Patrol Helicopter.

The last Day Chief Michael Feeney Jr. Police Academy was fortunate enough to meet a bald eagle in person. There are very few of these around that are tame enough to be close to groups for learning. We got to see different birds that we may come into contact with such as eagles, falcons, hawks, and owls. We learned of the work the Delaware Valley Raptor Center before we did our final practice before graduation. We can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve learned this week!
