Letter to the Editor:

The future development of Ridgewood is an important issue that affects each and every one of us in our community. How we make decisions about our Master Plan and what kind of development we encourage is critical for the future of our village. The election to fill the two open seats on the Village Council on May 13 will be influential in determining which path we, as a community, will take forward. The Citizens for a Better Ridgewood is excited to endorse Susan Knudsen and Michael Sedon.

This election is timely because we have serious issues confronting our Planning Board that could permanently change the character of our village and have an impact on our schools, traffic, parking, pedestrian safety, municipal services, open space, tax burden and property values. We need Village Council members who are well informed about the issues at hand, and who are able to create viable options and assess the needs of our village with an unbiased view.

  1. Please support an individual candidate by his or her background.
However, be careful when a corporate endorsement is made, it may have a narrow agenda of its own that may not be enough.

In any event, vote and let’s have a great election. Good luck to all.

  2. While the CBR may have a “narrow agenda” in its efforts to stop overdevelopment of the central business district, our hand as a town has been forced by the narrow and personal agendas of those we currently have in office.

  3. Well said, #2.

  4. #2, what votes have come before the Council on redevelopment please ? What is the record on the Valley expansion of the current Council ? It seems like you have a very narrow personal agenda yourself, otherwise, why are you speaking for anyone not on the Planning board ?

  5. Who Cares = DOM

  6. Whoever hates Dom so much is exhausting. Dom is a long-time resident who does not hesitate to offer his opinions in his own name And he happens to be a really nice man, very interesting to talk to. Your vitriol is embarrassing, or at least you ought to be embarrassed.

  7. Very well put #6.

  8. #6 Dom is two faced person. You will find this out if disagree with him. He will smile to your face and then talk about you behind your back. I don’t hate Dom. I just get tired of his endless bull and the world according to DOM.

  9. Well, I get tired of your endless assaults on his character. Be the bigger person, why don’t you, and just stop your constant insults. I DO disagree with him about Graydon, and this has never affected our friendship.

  10. #9 ” I DO disagree with him about Graydon, and this has never affected our friendship.” That you know of. I guess he hasn’t circled back to you yet but wait he will get there.
