THE RIDGEWOOD NEWS
Civility talks continued in the village last Monday with a special presentation from two Ridgewood residents who have become advocates for social change regarding bullying and cyber-bullying, particularly those affected in the nation’s LGBT community.
Joe and Jane Clementi, the founders of the Tyler Clementi Foundation, named for their son, whose September 2010 suicide became a national news story, were on hand at the Senior Center in Ridgewood to discuss the foundation’s latest project entitled “Day 1.”
Day 1 is a recently-launched, national anti-bullying campaign that empowers those in leadership positions.
“The idea of it is we instruct people in authority, whether it be teachers, managers, leaders in sports groups, on how to conduct a preemptive explanation about bullying and how to not engage in it and what kind of behavior is tolerated in a group and what kind of behavior won’t be tolerated,” explained Joe Clementi.
Clementi said he believes the campaign will work and it is designed to be simple, effective and cost-free to allow easy implementation in workplaces, schools, sports programs or any group-oriented activity

The Clementis are well meaning. They and their son’s memory, however, are also being callously used to advance the homosexualist agenda. Sodomitical activity of any kind is antithetical to Catholic doctrine. Moreover, the teachings of the Catholic Church in this regard are not to be regarded as regional or temporal outliers, having formed a substantial portion of the foundation of western society for thousands of years, and being shared in substantially the same form by the only other legitimate Abrahamic faith, Judaism.
This is not to single out SSA males. ALL extramarital sexual activity is sinful, as is any use of the sexual organs within the bonds of the marital relationship that is inconsistent with the creation of new human life. Children are not in public (or private) schools to be exposed to special interest propaganda, however faithfully the associated instructional program or curriculum may adhere to the all-important tenets of “civility.” Accordingly to the extent the Clementis find themselves actively or unwittingly dissuading children from firmly and intelligently rejecting all types of sodomitical behavior, either by way of experimentation or as a way of life, they do our community a great disservice and should strongly consider ending their involvement in the so-called “anti-bullying” campaign.
Our Mayor never misses an opportunity to get his name in the paper and add it to his web site.
These anti-bullying campaigns take on many of the characteristics of bullies to get their message forced on your kids.
How’s the following for “civility?”:
Stabbing for Sodomy
[A Christian man was stabbed simply for disapproving of sodomy]

A Christian man was stabbed in the back by a pro-gay woman last Friday after telling her he doesn’t believe sodomy is okay.
The man, a 26-year-old Mennonite missionary from Drayton, Ontario, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital and has already been released. He was part of a group that traveled to Ottawa to preach, sing and share the Gospel in the streets.
According to Eric Brubacher, a witness and member of the Mennonite group the victim was part of, “The confrontation was about the idea of homosexuality … if that’s OK, if that’s acceptable, and whether God loves somebody who is in that state. And we assured her that He does.”
The stabbing occurred in the Byward Market area of Ottawa, just days before the city’s gay pride parade.
Local police are still searching for the attacker, who fled the scene of the crime. She’s described as white 22-year-old with a slim build and blond hair with pink highlights.
The man’s Mennonite group has reportedly forgiven her.
Psychological studies have been done, and repeated, where random individuals are exposed to same-sex images while their arousal levels are monitored. The results are always the same: people who rank highest in homophobia are universally the MOST aroused by homosexual images. It’s rather pathetic that the homophobes don’t realize we see right through them.
The Jesus I love would never want His part of Scripture to be used as a fig leaf to cover naked prejudice and hypocrisy.
JK, that has to have been the most unedifying, illogical and preposterous comment the readers of TheRidgewoodBlog have been exposed to in quite a while. Please try harder next time and you might attract an actual substantive response. But tell the truth…you’re just a squid squirting your ink, right? What a shame that your goal is so clearly the corruption of American youth. Lets just say the Good Book does not treat people like you with kid gloves. The Jesus you love? Are you sure you believe what is true? Or are you merely saying what you say to justify your own poor life choices?
Well JK, Psychology Today, NCBI (20 years ago) and Sigmund Freud agree with you too. Please stop being factual.
Archbishop:’True Intention Behind’ Push for Same-Sex Marriage is ‘Imposition of Totalitarian System’

Archbishop Anthony Sablan Apuron of Agana, Guam has posted a message on his archdiocesean website stating that the “true intention” behind the push for same-sex marriage “has always been about the destruction of the family and the imposition of a totalitarian system.”
The archbishop also predicted the next step in the process would be to use the education system so “that our children, your children, will be forced to assimilate to this pattern of non-gender.”
“It is important to understand that the political pressure to push the agenda for same sex ‘marriage’ has never been about gay rights; the true intention behind this agenda has always been about the destruction of the family, and the imposition of a totalitarian system,” Archbishop Apuron said. (Bold in the original.)
“The next step will be to implement this theory in the educational system of Guam,” said the archbishop. “This means that our children, your children, will be forced to assimilate to this pattern of non-gender; that there is no-such-thing as ‘male’ or ‘female’; they will be encouraged to explore their sexuality earlier, and parents will have no voice in the education of their children.”
Guam began legally recognizing gay “marriage” in June 2015. It is the first overseas territory of the United States to do so. Apuron was appointed archbishop of the archdiocese of Agana in 1986.
Here is the archbishop’s statement:
Sisters and Brothers: In the face of recent events undertaken by the U.S. District Court of Guam, the U.S. Supreme Court and the 33rd Guam Legislature in redefining marriage, the Church stands firm on her teaching that marriage is between one man, and one woman. While the Church does not agree with the decisions taken by the courts, or those taken by our local legislators, disagreement is not discrimination. These recent laws force the People of Guam, and of the United States, to either agree with a particular political position, or face ridicule and sanction for discrimination. These types of laws not only undermine the precepts of the United States Constitution to Freedom of Speech, but also undermines and attempts to eradicate the Constitutional Right to Freedom of Religion – we are living in dangerous times, under the law of man, where Catholics, and Christians alike, are commanded to forfeit our religious beliefs. These times compel the Church to expose the intentions of those who have deceivingly disguised same-sex unions, as an issue of equality and anti-discrimination. It is important to understand that the political pressure to push the agenda for same sex “marriage” has never been about gay rights; the true intention behind this agenda has always been about the destruction of the family, and the imposition of a totalitarian system. The approval of same-sex “marriage” has now thrown open the doors of Guam to implement in our community a very clever and systematic theory, which has as its aim the destruction of marriage and family through the annihilation of any sexual differences among persons, this theory is known as the “Theory of Gender.”
At the political level, in order to avoid “discrimination” among the genders, a principle of “equality,” or more specifically, a “radical equality” has been imposed upon society, demanding and forcing society to have a neutral response to gender; any objection is considered not only discriminatory, and intolerant, but bigotry.
The next step will be to implement this theory in the educational system of Guam. This means that our children, your children, will be forced to assimilate to this pattern of non-gender; that there is no-such-thing as “male” or “female”; they will be encouraged to explore their sexuality earlier, and parents will have no voice in the education of their children. The natural family will be seen as a threat for the “new age.” These ideas are already part of an international agenda promoted especially by the United Nations. The laws just passed on our beautiful island, which were disguised to fight against discrimination, will now work to subvert our human sexuality from the most tender age with the goal to abolish the natural family and create new “models” of a family.
I truly believe we are being led astray like lambs to a slaughter. In my view, these recent laws are not a sign of human progress, but are dangerous steps toward annihilation of our fundamental religious beliefs. As Shepherd of the local Church of Guam, I urge every person to be mindful that each of us is answerable to the Supreme Judge for what we do, and do not do. I invite all the Faithful, including those in every branch of our local government, not to deny your faith, but to have the courage to be a witness to the truth: the truth about life, about man, about marriage and about family. Do not be afraid! Christ is the truth, and the truth will set us free.
Servus tuus,
Most Rev. Anthony Sablan Apuron, OFM Cap., D.D., Archbishop of Agana

Marxist Feminism’s Ruined Lives
Frontpagemag.com ^ | 9-2-2014 | Mallory Millett
During my junior year in high school, the nuns asked about our plans for after we graduated. When I said I was going to attend State University, I noticed their disappointment. I asked my favorite nun, “Why?” She answered, “That means you’ll leave four years later a communist and an atheist!”
What a giggle we girls had over that. “How ridiculously unsophisticated these nuns are,” we thought. Then I went to the university and four years later walked out a communist and an atheist, just as my sister Katie had six years before me.
Sometime later, I was a young divorcee with a small child. At the urging of my sister, I relocated to NYC after spending years married to an American executive stationed in Southeast Asia. The marriage over, I was making a new life for my daughter and me. Katie said, “Come to New York. We’re making revolution! Some of us are starting the National Organization of Women and you can be part of it.”
I hadn’t seen her for years. Although she had tormented me when we were youngsters, those memories were faint after my Asian traumas and the break-up of my marriage. I foolishly mistook her for sanctuary in a storm. With so much time and distance between us, I had forgotten her emotional instability.
And so began my period as an unwitting witness to history. I stayed with Kate and her lovable Japanese husband, Fumio, in a dilapidated loft on The Bowery as she finished her first book, a PhD thesis for Columbia University, “Sexual Politics.”
It was 1969. Kate invited me to join her for a gathering at the home of her friend, Lila Karp. They called the assemblage a “consciousness-raising-group,” a typical communist exercise, something practiced in Maoist China. We gathered at a large table as the chairperson opened the meeting with a back-and-forth recitation, like a Litany, a type of prayer done in Catholic Church. But now it was Marxism, the Church of the Left, mimicking religious practice:
“Why are we here today?” she asked.
“To make revolution,” they answered.
“What kind of revolution?” she replied.
“The Cultural Revolution,” they chanted.
“And how do we make Cultural Revolution?” she demanded.
“By destroying the American family!” they answered.
“How do we destroy the family?” she came back.
“By destroying the American Patriarch,” they cried exuberantly.
“And how do we destroy the American Patriarch?” she replied.
“By taking away his power!”
“How do we do that?”
“By destroying monogamy!” they shouted.
“How can we destroy monogamy?”
Their answer left me dumbstruck, breathless, disbelieving my ears. Was I on planet earth? Who were these people?
“By promoting promiscuity, eroticism, prostitution and homosexuality!” they resounded.
They proceeded with a long discussion on how to advance these goals by establishing The National Organization of Women. It was clear they desired nothing less than the utter deconstruction of Western society. The upshot was that the only way to do this was “to invade every American institution. Every one must be permeated with ‘The Revolution’”: The media, the educational system, universities, high schools, K-12, school boards, etc.; then, the judiciary, the legislatures, the executive branches and even the library system.
It fell on my ears as a ludicrous scheme, as if they were a band of highly imaginative children planning a Brinks robbery; a lark trumped up on a snowy night amongst a group of spoiled brats over booze and hashish.
To me, this sounded silly. I was enduring culture shock after having been cut-off from my homeland, living in Third-World countries for years with not one trip back to the United States. I was one of those people who, upon returning to American soil, fell out of the plane blubbering with ecstasy at being home in the USA. I knelt on the ground covering it with kisses. I had learned just exactly how delicious was the land of my birth and didn’t care what anyone thought because they just hadn’t seen what I had or been where I had been. I had seen factory workers and sex-slaves chained to walls.
How could they know? Asia is beyond our ken and, as they say, utterly inscrutable, and a kind of hell I never intended to revisit. I lived there, not junketed, not visited like sweet little tourists — I’d conducted households and tried to raise a child. I had outgrown the communism of my university days and was clumsily groping my way back to God.
How could twelve American women who were the most respectable types imaginable — clean and privileged graduates of esteemed institutions: Columbia, Radcliffe, Smith, Wellesley, Vassar; the uncle of one was Secretary of War under Franklin Roosevelt — plot such a thing? Most had advanced degrees and appeared cogent, bright, reasonable and good. How did these people rationally believe they could succeed with such vicious grandiosity? And why?
I dismissed it as academic-lounge air-castle-building. I continued with my new life in New York while my sister became famous publishing her books, featured on the cover of “Time Magazine.” “Time” called her “the Karl Marx of the Women’s Movement.” This was because her book laid out a course in Marxism 101 for women. Her thesis: The family is a den of slavery with the man as the Bourgeoisie and the woman and children as the Proletariat. The only hope for women’s “liberation” (communism’s favorite word for leading minions into inextricable slavery; “liberation,” and much like “collective” – please run from it, run for your life) was this new “Women’s Movement.” Her books captivated the academic classes and soon “Women’s Studies” courses were installed in colleges in a steady wave across the nation with Kate Millett books as required reading…
