Columbia Bank Celebrates Summer with a Series of Sizzling Events

Fair Lawn NJ,  as New Jersey communities plan for summer, Columbia Bank heats  things up by sponsoring a slew of sun-soaked activities over the next few months. Proud to honor its  commitment to the neighborhoods it serves, the festivities include Memorial Day parades, movie night,  scavenger hunts and more, throughout northern New Jersey.  

Said Allyson Schlesinger Executive, Vice President, Head of Consumer Banking of Columbia Bank, “After this  most difficult year, New Jersey residents need to get out, enjoy the beauty of summer, and celebrate the  season. Our Team Columbia loves to participate in local events and play an integral part in the  neighborhoods we serve. We’re proud to help bring joy to New Jerseyans and support community  endeavors.”  

The line up of activities includes:  

Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade – May 31, 2021  

The Township of Wyckoff commemorates Memorial Day with several events honoring people who served  our country; especially those who gave their lives to ensure our freedom. To support the Wyckoff Memorial  Day service and parade, Columbia Bank is Silver Sponsor of the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce float to  honor fallen veterans. The parade will transform the town into a vibrant splash of color and fill the hearts of  all ages with delight, inspiring the crowd to celebrate the beginning of summer. 8:30 am   – Firefighter’s  Memorial Service, 10:30 am – Veteran’s Memorial Service, 11:30 am – Memorial Day Parade.

Fair Lawn Memorial Day Parade – May 31, 2021  

Taking place from 10:00 am until approximately noon, the Fair Lawn Memorial Day Parade runs from the  Cadmus House on Fair Lawn Avenue to River Road to Berdan Avenue, ending at Memorial Pool. Columbia  Bank will have a festively decorated car in the parade to get the summer celebration underway. The parade  will make a brief stop at Town Hall to lay a wreath on the monument continue with this time-honored  tradition of commemorating our veterans.  

The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Newark Ironbound Summer Camp Kick Off – June 18,  2021  

During the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Newark Ironbound’s summer camp kick off orientation at  5:00 – 8:00 pm, Columbia Bank is gearing up for loads of camp fun, providing hula hoops to all children, as  well as financial literacy classes to both parents and kids. A meet and greet will be held, at which Columbia  Bank will offer promotional products for the Newark Ironbound Community in both Spanish and English.  

Midland Park Library Town Wide Scavenger Hunt – July 1 – August 31, 2021  

Midland Park Memorial Library is embracing its mission to connect the community to enriching experiences  and engaging people by hosting the first-ever, town-wide Scavenger Hunt. Midland Parkers of all ages  inspired by this year’s national Summer Reading theme: “Tails & Tales” are welcome to join in on the fun!  The young and young at heart will be given clues to find artfully designed animal tail decals hidden around  town. Each tail will call to mind some of the most beloved literary characters, while also creating a call-to 

action for residents to get out there (safely) and rediscover the businesses and landmarks that make our  town so special.  

Columbia Bank will be woven into the “tale”, while hunters search for a “tail” at its Midland Park Branch,  competing to turn in the finished clue cards at the library. Participants will be entered into a raffle to win one  of several prizes which Columbia Bank sponsored.  

Movies in the Park, Ridgewood – Wednesday Nights June, July and August 2021  The Ridgewood Guild’s 2021 Movies in the Park features a roster of complimentary oldies but goodies for  movie-goers to enjoy under the stars, every other Wednesday at Memorial Park in Ridgewood. Columbia  Bank will offer promotional giveaways and host a meet and greet with the Ridgewood Community.

July 28 – 9 pm: A Dog’s Purpose
