Fair Lawn  NJ , Columbia Bank is proud to announce it has invested $100,000 in  Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Funds to support Paterson Habitat for Humanity (PHFH). The funds  will be utilized to fulfill comprehensive restoration plans for housing and economic development, supportive  services, and other neighborhood revitalization activities.

Paterson Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to work towards community-driven goals, including infill housing  development and preservation/construction of public green spaces. The Housing initiative, labeled Home  Safe Home, will add to much-needed affordable and quality single-family housing stock in the area, while the  green space component, Green Space for Everyone, will transform a city-owned parcel of land into a public  park for all to enjoy.” 

The renewal project will address the overwhelming need to build new energy-efficient economic homes and  facilitate affordable and varying income housing opportunities by rehabilitating existing residences. Home  Safe Home activities will result in the planning, design, and completion of pre-construction activities for an  affordable multi-unit housing project that will include supportive services and in the preservation of other  residential properties in the Northside as quality affordable homes. PHFH intends to acquire/rehabilitate/ 

repair existing residential properties to upgrade housing conditions. The upgrades will include new roofs,  siding, air conditioning, and other rehabilitation activities.  

The PHFH Green Space for Everyone program will allow for the creation of more open space and recreational  areas, redesigning/beautifying existing green spaces, and mitigating flooding.
