Ridgewood NJ, at least 11 people were killed and nearly 4,000 injured after a series of explosions rocked Lebanon yesterday, as hundreds of communication devices detonated simultaneously across the country. The devices, primarily pagers used by Hezbollah, were reportedly rigged with explosives, leading to widespread destruction and chaos.

Hezbollah officials quickly attributed the attack to Israel, calling it a coordinated strike against the militant group. Lebanon’s foreign minister has vowed retaliation, intensifying the already strained relationship between the two nations. The incident adds fuel to the ongoing conflict between Lebanon and Israel, which has been escalating for the past 11 months.

The explosive devices were part of a batch of pagers recently issued to Hezbollah members as a way to avoid Israeli surveillance. According to U.S. and other officials, Israel had allegedly planted explosives in the pagers before they were imported into Lebanon. Disturbing videos circulating online show the devices beeping multiple times before detonating in crowded public areas.

Among the fatalities were an eight-year-old girl and the son of a Lebanese lawmaker, while dozens of people suffered injuries, particularly to their eyes, hands, and waists. The Iranian ambassador to Lebanon was also reportedly injured in the blasts.

This tragic incident comes as tensions between Lebanon and Israel remain high, following months of rocket attacks near the border. Israel recently declared the return of its civilians to the northern border area as a key objective in the ongoing conflict, further escalating hostilities between the two countries.

As Lebanon reels from the attack, the region waits to see how Hezbollah and the Lebanese government will respond in the wake of this devastating event.

    1. I’ll remember that when someone breaks into your house and kills your family, because you didn’t want to commit “murder” to protect them.

      1. Cool. Make sure you bomb my funeral too.
