Ridgewood NJ, on the morning of Wednesday, September 18th, Ridgewood Police took the driver of a white Chevrolet Equinox into custody following a crash in the 300 block of East Ridgewood Avenue. The crash occurred just before 11 AM as the vehicle was traveling westbound near Hope Street, striking two parked cars.
One of the parked vehicles, a Honda SUV, sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene along with the Chevrolet Equinox. The second vehicle, a Mazda SUV, was able to drive away under its own power.
Following the incident, Ridgewood Fire Department and EMS were dispatched to the scene. While first responders evaluated the driver, the individual declined medical attention. A field sobriety test was conducted by Ridgewood Police, leading to the driver’s arrest.
This accident adds to growing concerns about safety along this busy stretch of East Ridgewood Avenue. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, but the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety.
