  1. Let’s see what the Council majority’s next stupid plan is.

  2. Love it!

  3. Ramon couldn’t make it happen.

  6. Oh they’ll buy that property. They will just use all taxpayer money, instead of a mix of taxpayer funds and grant money. Next year’s tax hike is becoming g more and more epic by the meeting.

  7. The park at Schedler is not designed in a way to be useful to everyone in Ridgewood and the fact that the plans that were shown at the April meeting call for most of the land to be used up by the giant multi purpose sports field. That is what they want and that is why they hired Peter Primavera to ensure they could do it by either moving the historic house or overturning the historical nature of the 6 acres. Everyone knows that this mayor and council majority block, minus Lorraine, will do whatever it takes to get this done. what is sad is that they will use money that Ridgewood doesn’t have to make this a priority.

  8. This will not be done while Paul is Mayor! This will be tied up in the courts with Law suits for years to come. It’s all a waste of tax payers $$$$

  9. In the end they will have it. U will see.
Look at the garage. That’s the biggest screwup ever in the village so far.

    2. Maybe and just wait until the first kid gets hit by a car. You will see and it will happen. Cars fly off 17 at lightening speed. Then what will Paul, Pam, Evan and Siobahn say to a grieving parent, “I am sorry that we put a ball field in a place where it didn’t belong” and at that point it will be too late once that happens. Two children have already been hit by cars in the Schedler neighborhood and this is before all of the crowds descend.

      1. I do not support Schedler at all. It “cars flying off Rr 17 and killing a kid” weakens the argument. There is absolutely no I stance of this happening and little chance it will. Let’s just stick to the bottom line that a sports complex is out of line with the character of the neighborhood. It simply does not belong there. Period. The end.

        1. Do you live near there? Trust me, it definitely could happen – very, very easily. And to hear SCW argue that bc there is no plan for the use of the house and imply it just adds to its irrelevance is insulting. The LWV under the tireless efforts of two of its most respected members – one of whom was an architect that knew every square inch of that house and every regulatory detail ( both of those members now deceased, sadly) had TWO possibilities from the county for its use. There was a very real deal on the table for it to be used as part of Bergen County Historical Records archive facility and I believe also possibly a county historical museum annex. The town council at that time would NOT even allow them to present the proposals to them much less advance either idea with the County. It was outrageous. When asked why not they were given NO explanation. NONE. We even had a very large anonymous donation to get it going. And even after dismissing that auspicious gift to the community, the mayor at the time actually had the temerity to ask who the anonymous donor was – from the dais! Just for the sake of his own curiosity… It was embarrassing. The will of the people never had a chance. They were simply not interested in a real solution bc it didn’t fit their already developed unpopular plan.

This council behaves as though no one is still around who remembers what truly went on back then. This current storyline ignores the past facts of what really happened. The meeting minutes must exist somewhere…. This could have been resolved years ago to the benefit of the the entire community – not just baseball players.

  10. I wonder if Siobahn expenses her gas when she picks Peter Primavera up from the train station?

  11. I never realized that people call him Paulie but it is really Paul-lie, why because he lies. There is so much misinformation being thrown around. Evan is too disengaged to even know what is going on and talks incessantly about nonsense, but Siobahn and Pam are big time liars too. It is truly unbelievable that these are our Ridgewood Village leaders. What a shame. There is no money and people were almost furloughed. Tons of workers from the DPW showed up at Village Hall when they heard that they might not get paid and the Village all of a sudden found the money to avoid a catastrophe. Priorities need to be re-examined.

  12. How come the Village Financial person can’t answer simple questions from Lorraine about how much is in which bucket. Probably because those buckets get moved around so they can do what they want. There should be fixed buckets for various projects, like the West Glen sidewalks. This smoke show is an ogoing shell game in the funhouse, except it isn’t fun paying taxes for things that make no sense.

  13. Probably the best reaction to all current-council plans is “Don’t do it!”

  14. Powered-walked / hiked through the Schedler property this AM.
    – during the covid
‘ lockdown ‘ the workers never stopped , as they beautifully restored the historic home .( still not done)

IMHO , this property should be mostly left in its natural state. Maybe create a hiking trail.

The hypocritical, pseudo environmentalists want to destroy it .
“ they paved paradise , they put up a parking lot “
    & another soccer field .

  15. So very true I keep on saying that they don’t have any money we feel that they are full of shit. They have bank accounts with cash and investments, they need to inform the village taxpayers exactly what they have. Way too much bullshit. We don’t buy it that they don’t have any money. If they are broke well somethings very wrong because they are spending money on foolish things. We have supervisors riding around in high-end SUVs. When they could be driving pick up trucks, this nonsense needs to stop.
