Ridgewood NJ, former cryptocurrency magnate, scamster and poster child for digital assets Sam Bankman-Fried received a 25-year prison sentence for his involvement in the collapse of the now-defunct trading platform FTX. The 32-year-old MIT graduate, convicted in November on seven counts of fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering, faced a potential maximum sentence of 110 years.
This sentence signifies the end of Bankman-Fried’s rise to prominence and subsequent downfall. He was accused of mishandling billions of dollars in investor funds and deceiving investors and lenders at his crypto investment firm, Alameda Research. These actions led to a sudden devaluation of the company’s token and the loss of nearly $32 billion in exchange value.
While federal prosecutors sought a 40 to 50-year sentence, the defense portrayed Bankman-Fried as a first-time, nonviolent offender. Additionally, he was ordered to repay over $11 billion.
Bankman-Fried intends to appeal both the conviction and sentence.

entitled clown
If the Left needed him he would have been saved.
Don’t forget the power of the pardon. It’s a long game, but worth it. No one is seriously calling for a clawback of the hundreds of millions of dollars donated to Democrats. SBF can cool his heels in Camp Cupcake for a few months while writing his book then do the circuit on MSNBC et al. as a special investment advisor. He’s a special boy.
Give him a haircut and send him on his way. Buh bye!
Will walk on appeal after you’ve all forgotten about this.
Don’t be a stupid. You sound stupid.
actually, you sound stupid (or maybe just naive)
Brother can you spare a Bit?
I hear he got a job as treasurer with the Menendez campaign.
Please post the list of Democrats who received contributions from this slimeball… and if they were returned

But there is no victim? How could he be guilty?
His artificial money isn’t worth anything? No crime.
This is what I intend on telling the IRS when they ask why I’m not paying my taxes. Pay with what? Fake money?
