Paramus NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JHA HAREZOD (DOB: 9/22/1999; single; unemployed) of 101 Johnson Drive, Wood-Ridge, NJ on the charge of Possession of Child Pornography, greater than 100 files. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of JHA HAREZOD during the course of an Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that JHA HAREZOD used the Internet, including the “Dark Web” (also referred to as the “Darknet”), to view and possess approximately 600 digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.
As a result of the investigation, JHA HAREZOD was arrested on August 14, 2019 in Paramus, NJ and charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography in an amount greater than 100 files, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(B)5(B)iii, a 3rd degree crime. JHA HAREZOD is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on August 28, 2019 at 8:30 a.m.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Wood-Ridge Police Department for its assistance.
