Ridgewood NJ, A downed tree resulted in damage to at least two (2) utility poles and caused electric and communications services outages to many single family homes located in the Old Country Club neighborhood of Ridgewood on Friday evening, 05/15. Ridgewood Police, Ridgewood Fire Department, and Ridgewood Emergency Services responded to block streets and monitor fallen live electric wires until PSE&G crews were able cut power and restore primary & secondary electric service. Property damage was minimal, with the most serious being a tree limb that damaged a fence before landing in an in-ground swimming pool. No injuries were reported during the incident.
