Teaneck NJ, Teaneck Police Department report a Traffic Alert on Route 4 westbound will have the right lane closed just west of Belle Avenue for the next two to three weeks as the State of NJ has contractors make repairs. Expect some delays.
NJ DOT says Route 4 westbound is scheduled to have the two right lanes closed on Saturday night just past the Garrison Avenue/Sussex Road Overpass in Teaneck.
Beginning at 11 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, September 16, until 8 a.m. Sunday, September 17, the right and center lanes on Route 4 westbound are scheduled to be closed to place construction barrier between Garrison Avenue/Sussex Road and Wilson Avenue. At least one lane will be maintained during construction. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays.
By 8 a.m. Sunday, September 17, the center lane will be reopened to traffic, and the right lane will remain closed. The closure is necessary for drainage installation and is expected to
remain in place for approximately one month.
The work is part of a $15.8 million state-funded maintenance project to repair stormwater facilities at various locations in eight counties throughout North Jersey.
