  1. Yes, the famous swerved-to-avoid-a-deer excuse. All credit to her for coming up quickly with that one (probably quick advice from whoever she called first before the cops arrived). Works every time.

  2. The other nite I saw 2 deer on W. Glen Ave near the Midland Park water tank, about to run into the street.

  3. They were grazing on the lawn at First Pres

  4. we do have a big problem with the deer, more then ever.

  5. No you have it all wrong. The tree got up and was walking across the street but it wasn’t i the crosswalk so what did the tree expect. Maybe the tree should have had one of those little orange flags waving from its branch.

  6. I had to stop my car when driving home this evening because two rabbits were in my driveway. (True.)

When I took the safe rider motorcycle safety course we were advised to not try and avoid the ‘squashables’ (rabbits, small animals) since it was not worth the chance of an accident..Just run them over and keep riding.
If it was a deer, it might be preferable to ‘lay down the bike’ rather than hit one and get ejected.

  8. Counted 15 deer right at 1 W. Ridgewood Ave. (big medical building near Routh 17) the other night. All standing right next to Ridgewood Ave. I have had a couple jump out at me near the Duck Pond over the years.
