Englewood NJ, Dwight-Englewood Head of School Jeremy Gregersen addressed the school community via email on Tuesday regarding a group text exchange among certain middle school students that contained racially charged jokes and other offensive language.

Dwight-Englewood, a private school situated in Englewood, serves approximately 900 students from preschool through 12th grade. Annual tuition varies from $34,000 for preschool to just over $59,000 for grades 6-12.

According to the email, the text conversation involved over 30 seventh-grade boys, including the head of the school’s son.

Gregersen noted that the students were engaged in varying degrees, with some remaining silent about the racist content, others encouraging and amplifying the offensive language, and some actively participating in the inappropriate remarks.

To ensure an impartial process, the head of school has recused himself from the investigation. External legal counsel will assist the middle school in implementing disciplinary actions against the involved students.

Middle School Principal Jonathan Davis, seventh-grade Dean James Aitken, and members of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) office are now working with students to reinforce the school’s values and emphasize that hateful speech will not be tolerated.

Expressing accountability, Gregersen conveyed his commitment to supporting all members of the community affected by the incident. He emphasized that the content of the text exchange does not align with his family’s values and reiterated his dedication to fostering a diverse, supportive, and inclusive environment.

  1. Can we get a hint about what the texts were about..?

Something tells me the topic wasn’t pro-Palestine.

  2. “As I looked more closely, and as we came to find out through a thorough investigation, I was looking at forwarded screenshots of a recent text chain that included more than thirty 7th grade boys and contained highly charged language and anti-Black, racist memes. My stomach dropped even further as I found that my son was included in the text chain,” Gregersen wrote in the email.

Thank goodness Gergersen had his pearls to clutch else he might have fainted. Wait until this breathless pansy finds out about what the black kids say about the white ones.

“Highly-charged” … “anti-Black” … let’s see the texts (and the context) so we can judge for ourselves. What a time we live in, to be surrounded by such saintly people, eh?

My guess is that the only really offensive thing here is that milquetoast, mealymouthed Marxist apparatchiks like Gergersen have any authority whatsoever.

    1. Put your thesaurus down. You’re not coming across as anymore intelligent as you think you are, just a pedantic presumptuous pretentious self-aggrandizing chronically miserable bum.

      1. Aww, pumpkin, show us on the doll where you feel inadequate.

And nice alliteration but ad hominem is not an argument.

  3. The boys were just discussing their DEI and CRT homework in their texts.

They didn’t realize that all the anti-White hatred being taught to them in class was Racist.

    1. Post of the day!

    2. But it’s not racist because you can’t be racist against whites. The substructure of racism is institutional power, and blacks do not have institutional power whereas whites do. It’s quite horrific when you think about it, but if you’re a wealthy black superstar athlete, a respected black entrepreneur or tenured professor, to this day you’re still lower on the totem pole than some hick white Appalachian dust farmer.

Also, let’s say a black person person purposefully targets a white person and stabs them to death while shouting “I hate you filthy crackers and I won’t stop until the last of you white devils is dead,” that is not racism. If a stupid honky says “What’s the deal with the preponderance of violent crime being perpetrated by blacks,” while being stabbed to death by the black in the prior example, that is blatantly racist and the honky deserved it because of slavery. Any questions?

But Gregersen is fine with DEI/CRT textbooks containing highly charged language and anti-White Racist memes.
