Paramus NJ, a concerning E. coli outbreak has been linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burgers , affecting 75 people across 13 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In a recent update, the CDC revealed that 22 individuals have been hospitalized, and tragically, one person has died due to complications related to the infection.

This latest information follows a rapid escalation in cases, with the CDC initiating its investigation just three days prior, when 49 cases were initially reported, along with 10 hospitalizations and one death. While federal regulators have yet to confirm the exact source of the outbreak, early investigations suggest that the onions used on the burgers may be to blame. This theory gained traction after Taylor Farms, the sole supplier of McDonald’s onions, issued a recall from its facility in Colorado.

The implications of this outbreak have prompted several other fast-food chains, including Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell, to take precautionary measures by temporarily removing raw onions from their menus in certain locations.
