Ridgewood NJ, Several weeks ago, there was much talk at a Village Council meeting about the upcoming installation of a lead green signal at the intersection of E. Glen Ave. and N. Maple Ave.
The lead green would provide northbound traffic on N. Maple a 10-15 second jump on movement, allowing a number of vehicles to turn left onto E. Glen, which would reduce backups on northbound N. Maple.
What happened to this initiative?

  1. $60,000 garbage cans and $750,000 in field lights, but can’t fix a simple lead green problem? This village Council is inept.

    1. 350,000 pavilion for Healthbarn in Habernickel

  2. County Road….

    1. Presentation at VC meeting suggested County had provided tacit approval to plan.

    2. Excuses, excuses.

    3. Sgt. Torino said BC had given the preliminary okay.

    4. If the county gets their way, Oak street will be sitting at the light for 5 minutes.. just like north monroe and wyckoff ave in waldwick. this must be the longest light in the county waiting on North monroe. (right turn on red is prohibited here so its a looooooong wait)

  3. Pre-election promises.

  4. I like back ups because people can’t speed which is the real issue with E Glen Ave. Didn’t do a partial improvement plan.

    1. I agree. it also gives the drivers a break to catch up on all the mobile apps that they missed since leaving last light 3 mins earlier.
