Eighteen Police Agencies Team Up to Execute “Failing to Appear” Warrants, Make 8 Arrests

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton announced the arrests of eight individuals as a result of a recent Fugitive Task Force operation. The July operation featured participation from 18 different agencies and resulted in multiple leads that may bring the task force closer to satisfying outstanding criminal arrest warrants, in addition to the eight arrests.

The Fugitive Task Force was dispatched into the community early on the morning of Tuesday, July 30th, during which time the following eight individuals were arrested for “Failing to Appear” in Bergen County Superior Court for various offenses:

All arrestees were transported to the Bergen County Jail pending court appearances. The charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

“The safety of our residents is my top priority and as Sheriff I look forward to continuing the mission of the Fugitive Task Force on a regular basis in partnership with the Bergen County Police Chiefs Association. I would like to thank the leadership of the eighteen participating departments for providing the necessary manpower to accomplish our goals and hope to have even more participating agencies for our next operation” said Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

The Bergen County Fugitive Task Force was launched in June under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton in partnership with the Bergen County Chiefs Association. The task force is charged with locating and arresting individuals who have outstanding criminal warrants and are fugitives from justice from Bergen County Superior Court. The task force’s mission is not only to locate fugitives from justice, but also to develop further intelligence regarding those who are evading Bergen County Superior Court Criminal Division.

    This looks more like a public relations puff piece for Cureton.

  4. They don’t want people seeing Guido Pete texting underage girls while he pulls off duty work for PSEG in his air conditioned police car
