Paramus NJ, an early Saturday afternoon, 11/04, structure fire in the 300 block of Willard Road began in a microwave oven, and extended to kitchen cabinets and the home’s roof before Paramus FD firefighters gained complete control of it. An elderly resident of the home was reportedly rescued by a neighbor as the structure filled with smoke. Paramus EMTs evaluated the evacuee on the front lawn of a nearby home; it is uncertain if he was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Oradell firefighters assisted Paramus Fire Department at the scene.
